Review: Taking Back The Sell out Shows!!!

Taking Back Sunday is celebrating twenty years as a band and just as an unexpected surprise for fans in the New York City area, they decided to do a special show for their first three albums “Tell All Your Friends”, “Where you want to Be” & “Louder Now”. The ultimate pop punk show was taking place at Irving Plaza and this was something fans did not want to miss. Christmas has truly come early for many TBS fans. The major reason why this was also done in general was to celebrate 100 sold out shows at the famous New York City venue. Tickets for this wonderful event we’re all nearly sold out almost instantly, and those who waited patiently on the presale were extremely lucky.

Fans packed into Irving Plaza instantly and started waiting for the once in a lifetime event. The show was initially supposed to start at 8:15, but it ended up getting pushed back to 8:45. But, once the music started. The super fun chaotic set began. Fans began bouncing, moshing, crowd surfing and singing along to some of Pop Punk’s brightest stars. Once the first notes for “You Know How I Do” started, it was a chaotic scene as the high octane energy was unstoppable throughout the whole floor. Throughout the entire set, the energy was all over the place and it did not stop for anything. Taking Back Sunday provides high energy pop punk that is incredibly awe inspiring. There were some calm moments here and there when vocalist Adam Lazzara started jamming on the acoustic guitar. Definitely a way to make sure the audience would take it easy during the super intense moments.

Being able to hear some of the finest albums in the pop punk genre in one night is something you cannot imagine. However, for those who were fortunate enough to witness this night, it was a reality come true.
