Article: Blackest of The Black with Danzig 10/21/15

Danzig’s Blackest of The Black tour, brought out hand picked bands to participate in this tour (I.E, Prong and Superjoint). However, as a HUGE and LOYAL fan of Veil of Maya, I need to get this out in the open right now…. THEY DID NOT FIT IN TO THIS BILL WHAT-SO-EVER. I love the boys to death but when there was NO LOVE for them during their set, I saw a different side of touring. The opening act, Witch Mountain, was more appropriate than putting a Sumerian act on the bill. From a business standpoint, this logic to put their genre in one they did not belong in to reach a broader demographic just did not work for NYC. I felt super-bad for my brothers in VOM, but that’s the way touring goes *sigh*. The entire show was top notch, even with Tommy Victor doing double duty for Prong and Danzig as guitars and vocals. Danzig’s policy is still clear, shoot SUPPORT only, and I respect that decision.

With the interview down below done for Revolver, (COMING SOON) Glenn’s demeanor and professionalism was one of surprise. He was very soft-spoken and laughed at interviewer Chris Enriquez, who got to open Glenn up with an interview I am sure he enjoyed as much as we both did. He even humbled up and was happy to take pictures with us. One thing I never thought would of happen. A lot of people don’t like Danzig, I am one who does. as a professional in my field, you have to respect the decisions made and treat the man with a respect and caliber he deserves.
